The entire CCW community should really be concerned now about getting shot just for legally carrying a gun.

The NRA waded into the national dialogue over Pretti’s killing after Bill Essayli – who was appointed by Trump to temporarily serve as a US attorney in California in 2025 – posted on social media: “If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you.”

In response, the NRA posted: “This sentiment … is dangerous and wrong. Responsible public voices should be awaiting a full investigation, not making generalizations and demonizing law-abiding citizens.”

He didn't approach law enforcement with a gun though, did he? And even if he did they had no justification to kill him. He stood by and filmed ICE (who are not law enforcement since they are taking no notice of the law), then they attacked him after he stood between them and the two unarmed women they were physically attacking. They gassed him, wrestled him to the ground, beat him with their guns, took his gun away from him (that was still holstered and he evidently had no intention of using), then held him face down on the ground and shot him in the back 10 times at point blank range

Anyone who tries to justify this is on the wrong side of humanity.

Correct, he did not. There's sufficient video evidence from multiple angles to say with certainty that anyone who is pushing the narrative that he did or might have planned to do anything wrong are either straight up evil or willfully ignorant.

holyshitwhat? The NRA? this has to be an onion headline

Nah, the leadership are partisan grifters. But they've put themselves into a corner over their absurd absolutist rhetoric. The can't not ask for this and keep any legitimacy at this point. But expect zero pressure behind it. It's largely necessary theater.

Yeah, that's accurate.

This administration is going to have to decide if they want to get into a pissing contest with the 2A community.

Dude had a holster with built in side mag, bog standard in the CCW community...

But trump absolutely hates citizens with any guns, he barely tolerated them when they're trying to install him as a dictator.

... which USA would now be doing, if we had the sense to partner with Ukraine

They want the investigation aimed at Walz.

"For months, radical progressive politicians like Tim Walz have incited violence against law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their jobs. Unsurprisingly, these calls to dangerously interject oneself into legitimate law-enforcement activities have ended in violence, tragically resulting in injuries and fatalities.

The NRA are still bastards. They’re not interested in going after ICE. They want to blame the dems.

Damn, that sucks. Well they sure changed tack quick when the Trump Admin started saying they can shoot people because they possess a gun
