Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

this is dumb, but I really enjoy cleaning when high on cannabis 😅 does that count?

Particularly I enjoy doing dishes and any rhythmic and systematic cleaning (think: cleaning showers, sinks, toilets, scrubbing floors, etc.).

You are not the only one! I love smoking a joint on Saturdays and getting into a sink full of dishes. It’s just very relaxing.

Get organized for maintenance cleaning (schedule, tasks, supplies)

Clean up after yourself immediately (cooking or any clutter you make)

Sell or give stuff away that you don't use. Evaluate every room and object in it. Less crap = less clutter.

Don't buy shit that won't have a home. Take your time buying stuff. Most of the gratification you get is in the research and imagining it, so spend as much time as you need to ensure it's exactly the right thing.

Definitely points two and four. Then move on to point four. With those handled, you've got breathing room to take care of one.

Don’t put it down, put it away.

To go an unconventional route (on top of the other good suggestions you've already received): air purifiers. We don't think about it much because we don't see it, but the air inside our homes gets really filthy.

owning less stuff certainly helps!! i am by no means a minimalist, but i try not to get too much stuff that i dont actually need. that way, ill never have to find a place for it, dust it, etc.

Cleaning for 2 minutes 10 times a day is more effective than cleaning for 20 minutes once a day.

Set some time for cleaning. Have a baseline that's acceptable to you.
