Since you like mystery and House, Apothecary Diaries seems like a good fit. No girls smooching though, but the male love interest (insofar you can call him that) does look good in women's clothing.
For something about relationships between girls, Bloom Into You, perhaps? Or maybe There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Lover! Unless… if you're in the mood for something sillier.

I can't believe no one has recommended Monster!
It's like Dr. House and the Harrison Ford movie The fugitive all wrapped up into one. Plus it takes place in Germany!
It's not the fastest paced thing ever so be patient with it. The characterization is excellent and the villain is either at the top or near the top in almost every single top 10 list I've seen for anime bad guys. Definitely worth it.
