Random aside: I was browsing bullet proof vest, as one does in 2026, and it astounds me that they don't seem to make plate carriers that are more flattering on heavy guys. Like, come on, add 12 exra inches of fabric to tuck into your pants or something.

Random aside, but if you're in the market for that sorta stuff, I recommend Redstar defense plates. They're very affordable (especially for how light they are), and are the only plates you can get made by explicit leftists/anti fascists. They are often out of stock due to demand, but if you're not in a hurry, it's good kit.
They also offer a good deal on a preassembled IFAK (first aid kit) with materials sourced from North American Rescue (so not amazon fakes), and sold at-cost.
