I think there is an issue with ani.social federation, namely that the instance is linked as http//ani.social (notice the missing colon). When looking at the list at https://lemmy.ml/instances hovering over ani.social, the name appears correct, that is, with the colon present, but the link itself doesn't contain it.

I noticed this because an ani.social users comments on a post don't show up on lemmy.ml but they do on blahaj.

The instance is blocked, I suppose thats why the link is rendered wrong. Why it was blocked I dont know.

Yes there is something strange going on, because blocked instances shouldnt be in the linked list.

Oh shoot that does seem like an actual federation issue, I always wondered why people say there's a lot of anime on Lemmy without seeing much of it.

Better make your reading list more kawaii, the anime people can be propagandized once this is fixed
