Mabuhay at maligayang pagdating sa Lemmy! 🇵🇭

A fediverse community for the Philippines and all things Filipino!

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

First of all: Fuck Remulla. He doesn't have anything to do with the case (he's a DILG secretary for fuck's sake) and yet wanted to be the guy to announce it in a press conference.

Secondly: What were these guys even thinking? They're going to get caught no matter what because they were the last person the victims went to and the slightest peek in their history and the circumstances of the visit immediately makes them suspects.

Lastly: The estranged husband is an interesting case. He looked so detached when he was being interviewed, even chuckling while narrating his son's story. Granted not all people show grief the same way or any at all but the clincher is that he had their bodies immediately cremated which is quite unusual for a Filipino family, not to mention that they were murdered and police might need to check their bodies.
