A piece by investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr, connecting the paedophilic culture of the Epstein orbit to our own.

He also told me that a culture which reveres female youth and innocence despises female age and experience. It disgusts them, scares them. That’s our paedophiliac culture too; misogyny of adult women is the opposite of sexual desire for girls, an inverted mirror.

Epstein has given us an extraordinary portal through which we can now see how hostile state influence, criminality and the impunity of the billionaire class are intimately enmeshed. That’s the piece I still want to write. But we can’t understand any of this until we realise that Epstein isn’t just a doorway, he’s also a mirror.

His culture is our culture.

@fluffykittycat@slrpnk.net has kindly pointed out in the comments that one of the citations used by the author is to an article by a shady Christian anti-porn group. I have shared my thoughts on this in the comments too.

We especially do because places like the US will not hold anyone accountable for this.

It’s not just Epstein. That’s what these files reveal. Epstein is communicating with hundreds of men in these millions of pages. Men from every country and power structure: US finance, petrodollar royalty, Russian oligarchy, Hollywood, Palo Alto, Washington, Westminster. We know that more than 1,000 women and girls were trafficked and there are hundreds of Epstein survivors. As well as those who tragically didn’t survive, such as Virginia Guiffre. We must keep them front and centre, always.

I think the article references Christian sites because A) they don't mind speaking the truth at a time when mainstream news is down-playing this whole thing and B) even the billionaires themselves would love to make this about rich vs poor when, in fact, this is about all of humanity vs the darker parts of ourselves. That's the point of the article: Epstein is a symptom of a societal problem we all have. That problem thrives when "us vs them" is the focus instead of realizing we all played a part and continue to play a part in men like Epstein being able to do what he did. Every one of us needs to look inward and start tackling the beast in us that allows this to happen.

For the sake of anyone reading, and potentially changing the body of the post, please elaborate what websites/citations you are referring to.

I had a quick look at all the hyperlinks and they were fine, and I'd rather not read the entire article again to look for any "according to", "says," as cited", etc. Thank you :)

Fair point.

I think the article she cited from them is fine enough in their point of conveying the story of lil' tay on onlyfans and onlyfans exploiting this 'trend', though. So I don't see citing them here as such a big deal. But let it be known!
