Between the temp & the flood warning, I guess you'll be finding out firsthand how true the old "it's not the heat, it's the humidity" adage really is.

Well yeah but the excessive heat isn't nice anyway. But yes the humidity has been ridiculous today.

Looking forward to a cold shower when I get home.

Yes I hear you. I do believe that they do a very good job very often though.

I mean the sun is shining right now but I'm fully aware that things can change very quickly indeed.

Check out the Windy app (and web app) for predictions:

https://www.windy.com/

On top of good maps and gobs of data, it lets you pick the weather prediction model, which is where most other apps all source their data anyway (usually from GFS).

If you want something more hardcore, you can see the raw data as it comes out of supercomputers here: https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/

Source: Floridian who, having lived through Ian, became very particular about this stuff.

Thanks. Where do you live these days ?

Texas!

38C+humidity in summer is pretty normal here. Hence I still watch tropicaltidbits pretty closely.

We also have some nasty critters around homes, though not quite Australia-tier, I think.

Similar here as it's been raining and it's overcast. Bliss.
