It would have been too suspicious if he came back to 2016. Although, coming back 30 years earlier was probably a bit too much since he did not succeed in his mission.
Their records in the future were incomplete. It wasn't just hard to pinpoint where Harambe was, but also WHEN he was.
Good point. It’s also easier (and more useful) to go back and time a bit to far than a bit late.
Aw this resurfaces a buried memory years ago my first Reddit account was Permabanned when I innocently asked if anyone knew the identity of the harambe little boy and his mom. I was instantly banned. Ridiculous.
