*Hironobu Sakaguchi and Takashi Tokita both worked on FFIV. Sakaguchi was the mastermind behind the Final Fantasy series, while Tokita went on to write and direct some of the top 10 best JRPGs, such as Chrono Trigger and Parasite Eve. *

FF4 is an underrated masterpiece, and yet it has been incredibly influential over the RPGs of the 90s. In particular, Final Fantasy 6 and Final Fantasy 7 have followed in the steps first taken by Final Fantasy 4. To this day, its unique contributions to the industry are underappreciated.
