Boy I hope not. Terrible movie made by a provocateur that had no point to make, a shitposter with a movie budget.

Thank you for actually putting my feelings into words. I remember this movie being talked about a lot back in the day, but all I saw was someone with a production team trying to be edgy.

I don't think a movie that includes a twelve year old being deflowered and a fairly explicit and realistic rape seen would be greenlit today. Its not as much the subject matter as it was the realism it attempted. That's before you even consider the AIDS angle to the story.
