He's an author who's mostly famous for truly unhinged romance, it's a pretty fun rabbit hole to just image search his name and see all the book covers. In more recent years he's positioned himself very contrary to the other author shown here, even to the extent of writing this lol.
So cassette futurism entails more than just cassette stuff being involved? I didn't see anything else here to get a sense of the theme, sorry!

Yeah cassette futurism is an aesthetic subgenre of retrofuturism that imagines a SciFi future where the capabilities of technology are greater but its still has the construction and aesthetic of tech from the era of cassettes
So like the way theyre still using CRTs and magnetic tape media in Blade Runner but they can zoom and enhance, there are androids that mimic humans, and they have flying cars
Its SciFi but the technology that powers the future is frozen in time, like with steam punk, atom punk, and disel punk
