Rags will be like “oh it’s ‘presumed’ this and ‘alleged’ that” for rich assholes in the spotlight, but when it comes to car wrecks, it’s automatically classified as an accident. A little oopsie. No need to look any further into it besides the wholly truthful police report. The words crash and accident have very different legal meanings. This is just a presumed accident, but a definite deadly wreck.

at the risk of sounding a bit out there, cars can be remotely controlled due to everything being computerized.. there was that dnc staffer that died in a similar circumstance after it was discovered he leaked the Hilary email stuff to WikiLeaks.
edit: as pointed out by Evilphd666 i completely confused who did what, it was actually Michael Hastings who died in a firey car crash after his car just tore off down the road and smashed straight into a tree
If you mean Seth Rich,
he was shot in a "botched robbery" with 'nothing stolen' in DC and then died at the hospital with supposed survivable gun wounds with weapons and perps never founds. The leaks were attributed to

You may be referring to Michael Hastings, notable work "The Runaway General" exposing General Stanley McCrystal whose car was seemingly taken over uncontrollably "runaway" and rammed into a tree in L.A.
His last story, "Why Democrats Love to Spy On Americans", was published by BuzzFeed on June 7, 2013

there were several people showing demonstrations on youtube about 10ish years ago or so. I worked with two guys that demo'd hacking regular old cars when I was working at one of those self-driving car companies.
They were the red team for the company with their goal of hacking the cars and taking them over which I guess they never succeeded in doing... at least as far as I know.
