"Israel" has intensified aerial chemical spraying campaigns across the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria, leaving a trail of environmental devastation and a deliberate attempt at ecocide.
In South Syria’s Quneitra, Israeli aircraft sprayed herbicides along more than 65 km of farmland in January, destroying around 3,500 dunams of grazing land, winter crops, and olive groves, which can only be interpreted as intentionally crippling livelihoods and food sources for entire communities.
Similar atrocities in Lebanon exposed farmland to glyphosate concentrations up to 20 to 30 times above normal levels, as per a joint statement by Lebanon's agriculture and environment ministries. The World Health Organization classifies glyphosate as "probably carcinogenic to humans."
In Gaza, "Israel" has been spraying herbicides since late 2014. Reports show that spraying became a recurring brutal practice, usually twice a year in December, January, and April.
