It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

And, how bad is it?

Oh nevermind. Stupid me, expecting the article to contain some sort of answer to the question in the headline... Or any information at all, except they ordered one and how much the shipping was... πŸ‘Ž

TBD I guess, I edited the title to point out that it's not a review before anyone else wastes a click expecting a review

Thanks. Yeah. My wife also just ordered an E-Bike. Didn't arrive yet, either. But she didn't blog about it πŸ˜‚

It's not too late! Maybe she could apply to Electrek and become a staff writer?

What'd she get btw?

An eMTB hardtail. I forgot which one, we talked about so many different manufacturers and models. And then they all have different variants of the same model, both by year and configuration and at some point my brain just froze πŸ˜†

Some day I'll get one as well. Seems there's quite a selection of nice e mountain bikes out there with a good price-value ratio, these days. Though, I really struggle finding one. I'm a bit tall, and none of them fit properly. So I'm a bit stuck at looking up frame measurements and visiting stores to try some... I mean for the time being, I still have my old trusty bicycle. It just doesn't do forest and trails, and doesn't do any "E" either... I guess I better get in shape to keep up this year.

You can do it, we have faith in you!

Just letting others know this is more like a blog post than a review. There is no review, just that it was ordered and will be tested soon.

Title edited.

I wonder if the author has any worries about β€œbottom-shelf” lithium ion batteries catching fire when this thing is parked in his garage?

And they even claim that the bike is covered by UL2849 compliance, though the jury is still out on whether that provides any peace of mind for the 432 Wh battery.

I think they are lol

Looks great. I don't know why he's playing dumb about the quirky product description. It's obviously just auto-translated from Chinese, like with pretty much any manufactured product these days.
