A couple hours west
Wtf, are you high? Denver is not "like Des Moine". It is at the base of the mountains. I can walk out my front door and be at the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon in 15 minutes. It's called The Front Range because it is named after the Front Range, which is a mountain range in the rockies, which is named that because it is in front of all the other mountains.... WHERE DENVER IS.
Technically it's in a basin, might be an impact crater.
