Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Battle? More like a minor inconvenience in his existence. He has too much money and power to receive proper punishment. If anything, the judge will probably award him more money for pain and suffering due to the court case distracting him from his great works.

Suck it, Musk.

Apparently money is speech (and speech is speech) so the US Supreme Court will eventually rule that market manipulation is also speech and therefore constitutional.

Now, where's poly market?

It's sad, because this article is paywalled hard, but archive.today and archive.ph (also .is, .md, .fo, .li, .vn) are DDOSing a blogger who investigated them. They could also be Russian assets (js from mail[.]ru).

This is from their CAPTCHA page, meaning every visitor executes that scriptlet at least once:

I obfuscated the bloggers domain because I think they have enough trouble as it is, but it isn't hard to find.

Yes. Every time.

is there a way to block thar with ublock eg

There might be ways to circumvent the DDOS but imo this service has lost all credibility.

Shame it's useful to bypass news websites pay walls

Ketamine parties will do that. Plus the stress of realizing it's all downhill after 2025.
