I’m thinking national/provincial parks, beaches, or really anything else you can think of. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Churchill for example but it seems pretty inaccessible

Just piggybacking on this thread: Is there any place to try out skydiving in or near Winnipeg?

If you're not used to the prairies, I've heard of some people getting agoraphobia from driving just outside Winnipeg because it's just so very flat.

Good places to visit are the Whiteshell or Grand Beach. An area that's still quite a drive but would be neat is Little Limestone Lake

Depending on when you'd be visiting there should be festivals just about every weekend in the summer. Things like the Sunflower festival, Corn & Apple festival or the Pumpkin festival are a fun time.

If you want something off the beaten path, Zip Lining in the Pembina Valley is a pretty good time.

These are all very cool suggestions, thank you! And zip lining sounds like a ton of fun. I’ve always wanted to try.

possibly a good place to start looking for things might be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manitoba#Culture ?

( some other section may interest you more )

We take for-granted Wikipedia too-much: it's local, too! ( even for Canuckians! : )
