How about you fix your car George so it isnt so slow during starts? I am sure you are saying the same to the teams who questioned your performance advantage was due to compression ratio.

An F1 team acting selfishly? Surely not. I simply refuse to believe it.
Ferrari's line of reasoning is that they raised this problem over two years ago, no one was interested in hearing it, so they went and designed their engine in a different way. And now all the other teams are like "oh, there is a problem!"
And the proposed fix (which if I remember correctly is the exact same solution Ferrari originally suggested) will leave the Ferrari engine worse off because they had to compromise on the turbo to solve this problem. Everyone else wants to have their ~~cake~~ turbo and ~~eat~~ use it.
Firstly, the harvesting/timing line issue mentioned has nothing to do with Ferrari and their turbo design. If that is an accurate quote then idk what George is smoking.
Secondly, "you can start from the pits if you feel unsafe". Cars can go into anti-stall during start.
F1 is the best example of controlled dissent. These guys make too much money to rebel. Oh no he called our rules silly! Let's bonk him on the head and give him pole position.
