Religion is not based on the premise of falsifiability. Science is.

No. Religion is based on belief. Science is based on observation and experimentation. They're completely exclusive of each other.

Which is not to say a scientist can't be religious. Greek philosophers observed the stars and the planets but still had plenty of religious beliefs about them.

Can’t we mix in one stupid thing and call it faith though?

Noooooo, I’m not advocating a system of malleable knowledge based on observation and experimentation. I just happen to believe in the invisible sea fairy who commands me to accept science.

It's not a religion.
It's just called "Science"

I call it "membership in the reality-based community, rather than the faith-based one"

Not really. Religion is pretty universally built on certainty. Science is entirely best current ideas and more questions.
