Why would Capitalists believers suddenly NOT be luring/cheating vulnerable people ?? Wether AI already contains hidden ads or not, it will be here before we can blink an eye.

Ai is just another tool for these psychos, so oc they will use AI to continue their nasty exploitative behavior towards other people. This pathological behavior is even approved by the Capitalist religion/dogmas that only prescribe 'profits' - not constructive social behavior..

The article didn't mention any criticism of the 'free fight for your life' societal system that both enables and nurture such shitty behavior, but just complains that people are lured to unlicensed casino's ! So cheating the 'vulnerable' is totally fine as long as the local lib governments gets their cut..

So lets turn to the source of this 'article' for a moment. Looking at the sponsors from 2024, we see a bunch of nasties that would never care about people, truth, 'society' or anything but their own purpose/benefit:

Total institutional support was 774.934 EUR. GLS Dachstiftung für individuelles Schenken, Germany: 320.000 EUR Adessium Foundation, Netherlands: 100.000 EUR Open Society Foundations (OSI), US: 100.000 EUR The Reva and David Logan Foundation, US: 67.734 EUR Fritt Ord, Norway: 62.200 EUR Schöpflin Stiftung, Germany: 60.000 EUR Stiftung Hübner & Kennedy GmbH*, Germany: 30.000 EUR Limelight Foundation, Netherlands: 20.000 EUR Rudolf Augstein Stiftung, Germany: 15.000 EUR *unique donation beyond the foundation’s usual policy

Oc, we immediately see Soro's and big banks in the mix. These cunts do NOT care about creating a better society for ordinary peeps. They ONLY invest in what benefits them. Most of the others are standard 'free journalism' sites that are all funded by the same shitters in a big circle-jerk, so they are only facades, and are not 'independent' NGO's in any way.

These NGO's are a part of a huge network of US initiated outlets that appear nice, but have another purpose. This network is one of the many ways US Epstein class manages information for both local vassal states/populations, and 'regime changes' for all nations that don't want Soro's et. al. to control and exploit their nation.

This whole site is nothing but a standard US initiated NGO propaganda outlet that does NOT benefit ordinary people. US enemies have disallowed these obvious propaganda outlets, but we allow them bc the rich sh*tters already control the information in western societies enough to agitate the peeps in any direction they want.

Odd thing that anyone would push an 'article' like this without checking the source funding, but maybe a bot selects them.

Anyway: Disgusting incompetent ignorant non-journalists..

Wether AI already contains hidden ads or not, it will be here before we can blink an eye.

Its not hidden ads. Its likely lazy operating using the public internet for its training data scooping up ads already published elsewhere on the internet. I seriously doubt Facebook, Google, etc got paid to mention those unlicensed casinos after they were specifically prompted to return answers for unlicensed casinos by the article's authors.

Your rant has nothing to do with the article. Did you see "AI" and then just copy/paste a premade AI rant you had on hand? You're stomping pretty hard on Rule #6 of this lemmy community.

Ehhh.

When I saw the title, I thought that someone was trying to use LLM-backed bots to drive some sort of marketing campaign or something.

But this sounds like it's just someone plugging in something into an LLM and it returning the same kind of stuff that a Web search engine would.

Reporters fed national-language versions a range of prompts, including requests for online casinos with the biggest bonuses and websites that don’t ask for proof of age to register.

In three quarters of replies, chatbots recommended gambling sites not licensed in Europe, describing them variously as “secure and fast”, “perfect for competitive players”, or “great for novice gamblers”.

Casinos that lack national licenses for countries where they operate do not offer the same consumer protections as legal operators, and may expose players to the risk of scams or fraud.

When prompted, the chatbots explained how software could be used to access unclicensed platforms and promoted sites registered in offshore territories. One Meta AI chatbot wrote that online casinos with no identification checks were the “Holy Grail!”. Google’s Gemini said crypto sites offered players “anonymity” and a “lack of rigid limits”.

I have a hard time calling that "luring".

The biggest difference I see is it's very hard to reverse engineer AI SEO and very easy to exploit.

I believe I read somewhere that AI bots scraping the web will take claims (like you saying your thing is the best) and present them as truth, and if that's the case, it's hard to reverse engineer where that data comes from.
