I prefer small numbers on left side of ruler because it's what I'm used to. The reverse being true for some eastern people isn't surprising. It makes curious why someone would go through hoops to answer this question. Did they really need to test this on oragutans, pigeons, and french people too? Seems extra for something most would shrug off as interesting random facts. Idk, feels like I'm missing context

I think it's one of those things where testing may not seem initially useful, but it might be useful later for something else. To wit: Ozempic started with scientists studying the spit of the Gila Monster. They found a hormone there that helped regulate blood sugar, which led to drugs being created for type 2 diabetes. During trials of those drugs they found people were also losing weight.
