Closed Door Village, Chinese film from 2014. I have it with hardcoded mandarin subs, but it's never been translated as far as I can tell.

Love this thread. My white whale is The New Encyclopaedia Britannica 15th ed. 2010 edition. Its here but a loan https://openlibrary.org/books/OL24447878M/The_New_Encyclopaedia_Britannica

No idea how to extract it.

archive.org has only 2007 ed :(

A 1080p version of W1A series 2

[–] QuikxSpec@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I remember this show! All I could find was 720p but easily enough available on popular public trackers. Hope someone else can find a better option

The 2001 TNBC show "Sk8". One episode was finally uploaded to YouTube a couple years back. Beyond that, all that apparently exists are some clips and commercials.

Heil Honey I'm Home!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heil_Honey_I%27m_Home!

Pilot on the BBC. It's a sitcom about Hitler and Eva moving into an English neighborhood next-door to a nice Jewish couple. I had a copy from BTN but can't find it anywhere now.

Chad's World

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0960743/

Super-fucked pilot from DEN. A studio that was attempting a streaming business in the 90s or 00s, and abusing minors.

It stars fucking Stiffler. It's about a teen who's friend kills himself over the pressure/reaction of coming out to his parents. The teen is rescued by his brother and whisked any to LA.

It's an insane groomer story that matches the scandals at DEN. I have a 240p copy, but I SWEAR I had a better one before.

Hypernauts (1996). It's an old TV series that was cancelled part way through airing. I found a complete season on a TV archive project website, but it's 480p and has baked in Japanese subs that obscure a lot of the screen. The show itself isn't great, it's just something I'd like to collect.

A late 80's TV show called Monsters

Caught a handful of episodes when I was a kid. It's available on Amazon, but I'd like a local copy. With as many TV shows have the word Monsters in it, it's hard enough to even search for.

Edit: ROFL and as I post this I decided to google it, and archive.org has all 3 seasons archived.

The full dicography of Soichi Terada is my whale. A bonus would be all the other Far East Recording artists too, but Terada is the big deal for me.

Terada is a Japanese house music artist who was most active in the 90s, but anyone outside of Japan might know him better as the soundtrack artist for Ape Escape for the PS1.

What makes it particularly hard is that a good chunk of his work was vinyl only. I've got his more recent stuff that got CD releases.
