THE POLICE PROBLEM
The police problem is that police are policed by the police. Cops are accountable only to other cops, which is no accountability at all.
99.9999% of police brutality, corruption, and misconduct is never investigated, never punished, never makes the news, so it's not on this page.
When cops are caught breaking the law, they're investigated by other cops. Details are kept quiet, the officers' names are withheld from public knowledge, and what info is eventually released is only what police choose to release — often nothing at all.
When police are fired — which is all too rare — they leave with 'law enforcement experience' and can easily find work in another police department nearby. It's called "Wandering Cops."
When police testify under oath, they lie so frequently that cops themselves have a joking term for it: "testilying." Yet it's almost unheard of for police to be punished or prosecuted for perjury.
Cops can and do get away with lawlessness, because cops protect other cops. If they don't, they aren't cops for long.
The legal doctrine of "qualified immunity" renders police officers invulnerable to lawsuits for almost anything they do. In practice, getting past 'qualified immunity' is so unlikely, it makes headlines when it happens.
All this is a path to a police state.
In a free society, police must always be under serious and skeptical public oversight, with non-cops and non-cronies in charge, issuing genuine punishment when warranted.
Police who break the law must be prosecuted like anyone else, promptly fired if guilty, and barred from ever working in law-enforcement again.
That's the solution.

Our definition of ‘cops’ is broad, and includes prison guards, probation officers, shitty DAs and judges, etc — anyone who has the authority to fuck over people’s lives, with minimal or no oversight.

③ Saying ~~cops~~ ANYONE should be killed lowers the IQ in any conversation. They're about killing people; we're not.
④ Please don't dox or post calls for harassment, vigilantism, tar & feather attacks, etc.

They are actually the best we got in terms of response to the genocide. Cops are simply not representative of the population because ACAB...
Why are the bystanders allowing this? In every video of cops BLATANTLY abusing people, which is illegal in most places, the bystanders all just yell. No one attempts to stop it. I understand that they would get beat too. But there are dozens of you idiots.
Every day I am glad I never see this shit, because I would absolutely end up dead for not just watching it like a bitch.
You're very welcome to participate, like, ever, and prove to us all what a tough guy you are.
Sincerely,
Someone who's been on the receiving end of riot police.
You don't need to treat them like they're acting like a "tough guy", they're already saying they would get their ass beat if they tried something like this.
I definitely get the sentiment too: Of course, I have no idea how I would actually react in a situation like this, since I've never been in one. However, I have a hard time seeing myself idly standing by. I would definitely have a very strong desire to do something, but I don't know if my sense of self-preservation would prevail over my sense of justice or not. Point is, none of us are trying to come off as some "tough guy", we're just echoing a feeling I think many people have: That we think it's hard to imagine just standing by and watching someone else be beaten like this. That doesn't mean we're claiming we would do anything, but for myself I can at least say that I hope I would do something, and that I have a hard time imagining that I wouldn't.
Been to plenty of protests. Luckily the police have been civil, or like I said, my life would be significantly worse or over at present.
Getting beat by police doesn't change anything. You know what does? Watching and recording and being a witness to the illegal actions. If you were arrested by the police and yell about their abuse, it won't matter unless you have witnesses to back you up. Both are needed.
True. But what if that person was beaten to death, and you could have prevented that by intervening. That would be changed by getting beat. Or if multiple people were to aid you, the cops could be moved away.
I'm going to say it slow for those that still don't seem to get it.
All . Cops . Are . Bastards .

According to police sources, the incidents occurred as six members of the flotilla, who had just landed, were posing for the media and blocked one of the arrivals' exits at the airport.
So the reasoning is that the group picture "blocked the exit".
Fuck the police
ACAB
Watched this a number of times trying to figure why the guy breaks away and moves towards the crowd. At first it seemed odd like he was charging bystanders, but then I realized it looks like a cop holding bystanders back might've been rough.
Like I thought he was attacking the lady in black in the crowd, but looks more like it's actually a cop's arm on her and he's reaching for the cop's arm.
And then they just go hog wild.
I believe he wanted to escape and since the crown is pro palestine , he though they would open the path
Well, the cops were telling them to leave and stop obstructing the checkpointq, so technically he was complying then if that was the case.
Laying hands on a cop manhandling someone though? That's a beating in any cops book.
cops are such babies
