Please update us and share a picture of your belt buckle

I was there for the mass shooting.

Scary, to say the least. Has it affected you long term? I’d imagine it’d leave someone with PTSD, even if you weren’t really close to it.

I wasn't shot, so it's not the same suffering as others went through. I'm not sure if I have PTSD from it. I think a lot of Americans get a feeling of disgust when hearing the minimization of gun violence.

It wasn't the only mass causality event I lived through. I don't feel the need to share the stories with most people in my life but if the topics come up, I'm comfortable sharing my experiences.

so, i've got ptsd from a few different events and only the worst one fucked with my memory. strangely, that's the one i wanted to forget and i forgot like, almost everything before it. so like it's where my memory begins. yaaaaaaay.

Sorry if I put a damper on the festival that you're going to and looking forward to. It's intended to be a wholesome fun time, and it is. You'll have a good time. I did. There was just a sick person there that hurt a lot of other people that one time. But that's a rare risk that just occurs in the USA.

Nah no worries, I forgot that it happened and that makes me very lucky. If you can come, i hope to see you. If you can't, want me to grab you anything?

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

No thanks. I already have a braided garlic string in the kitchen. Hope it's fun.
