“The study also uncovered a worrying disparity in use of AI by different demographic groups, with low-income, racially underrepresented and female students using AI less.”

I can affirm this to be true, at least based on my experience teaching students who are primarily low income and/or first generation students. However, I don’t much agree with their conclusion that:

“These students may fall behind in college and eventually the workplace because of unequal access to or practice using AI.”

It's because the "research" is dubiously angled, to say the least.
