Pride was never really gone, Orbán couldn't stop it. If anything it's gonna be smaller now because Pride is not gonna be an anti-government event.

Yea, was meaning to say just this. Pride was never "gone", and the clearest proof of this was still under Orbán's rule, where participating was still an act of resistance to the government. It might become smaller, more chill now.

Magyar isn't exactly an LGBT advocate. He's not a rabid LGBT hater like Orban, no. But things could still be a lot better. He's still very conservative family first etc.

Just for context: during the previous Pride he stayed away and went abroad, and deliberatery had been avoiding the topic of LBGT stuff until the elections.

Well, since this really doesn't seem to be a core topic of his, an inoffensive stance seems fine.

I just hope hungarians get much broader elections with more choices in a couple of years.
