Even when it first released the price for the value it had at the time was low. Especially compared to modern consoles like the PS5, or Steam Deck.

It's small, and looks really simplistic. Even features a touch screen.

Games on the DS have a sorta in between ps1 and N64 graphics. Having sharper looking textures compared to the N64.

One game in particularly to play on it to get some of the best out of its specs, is Lego Star Wars complete saga for the DS looks and plays surprisingly console-like on the small screen and lower specs of that system.

Also get any of sport and mini game compilations. Mario Party, Wario Ware, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games. You get many games in one title why not?

I have profound memories with my DS lite, specially with Ace Atorney. And the game about men in black saving peoples from dumb situation dancing and singing. And metroid pinball...

I miss my DS Lite. Opened and closed that thing so much the right hinge broke.

I bought and homebrewed a New 3DS XL two years ago. Now I'm holding onto it and my New 2DS XL for dear life.

I'd you still have it by chance, they're incredibly repairable. In college I would buy broken ones in bulk and frankenstein them for a pretty good profit.

It also meant I could mix and match the colors which was fun. I still have my "Oreo" DS

I gave my DS Lite to a friend years ago, with the hinge still broken. But good to know they're easily repairable!
