Yawn. I'm also pretty sure I've read this headline months ago already.
This is a most excellent place for technology news and articles.

Art of the Deal chapter 2 is about leverage. There is no concept of soft power, so we've abandoned it. This includes USAID. This will be viewed in hindsight as the single biggest mistake we made.
There are other single biggest mistakes like pushing rest of the world to get rid of US software and possibly towards open source.
'Mistake' might not be the right word in either situations. 'Tribute to humanity at large' might be better lol
I'd file that one under soft power abdication but there's validity to discussing individual stupid decisions under that umbrella
It's a win for consumers too if there's more competition
Usa would ban chinese air just so corporate leaders can continue to profit
China is creating competition for many things now. The world needed that.
Now we just need to unattach ourselves from the US and have fair competition.
I'm not saying you cant buy from the US, but it will be on a level playing field.
Something something unintended consequences
I don't know if it's unintended consequences or not caring about the consequences. The people responsible for this are richer than god as a result and they simply do not care what happens to anyone else.
Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on - Larry Ellison, 2024
So for once china didnt have to steal tech lol
Incorrect. They're stealing from TSMC.
That makes more sense since China has only acquired tech in modern history and never developed its self
We said that about Japan too. Turned around after some decades and it was Japan that was innovating. China is hoovering up tech ideas and then moving forward with them.
LOL 😂
