Former Biden administration official Shuwanza Goff is joining Paramount Skydance as VP of U.S. government affairs...

Goff will be tasked with helping shape the company’s public policy and government affairs strategy, including engagement with federal and state policymakers and industry partners. She was previously a partner and chief strategy officer at lobbying firm Empire Consulting Group.

Goff served as the director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs from 2023 to 2025 in the Biden administration. In that role, she drove the White House’s policy agenda and was the steward of key bipartisan relationships on Capitol Hill...

What's the issue? Shes qualified and a domain expert. The company is wanting to do a merger and needs to navigate the merger. Hiring someone like this to help you navigate government affairs isnt corrupt. In no world would this not happen. Im sure shell do a great job at making the case and trying to compromise and build a consensus but that isnt corruption.

Paramount in it's current form is already corruption. It shouldn't have ever been allowed to happen. It's simply a stain she seems willing to accept in exchange for money.

Billionaires are going to keep doing shit like this to give the impression that neoliberals still control the party to depress primary turnout

No matter what happens, we have to make sure a neoliberal doesn't make it to the general with a D by their name. Because if they win they name the next DNC chair, and neoliberals won't let go again.

Nothing matters more than a progressive winning the next Dem presidential primary
