MODERATORS

Someone has been spamming the "login with authenticator" button on my email for a couple of days now.

Support says there's nothing I can do and that their "internal reporting" catches these people. Bullshit.

Anyway, so glad I started removing Microsoft from my life over a year ago. I just can't wait for the day I'm able to delete it all.

Change your password, someone has it. If you didn't have authenticator setup they would be in already.

No, there are ways to get to the authenticator notification. It is in the forgot password flow.

This was my first thought, but it still happened after changing passwords.

Does this not mean that they have your password?

I didn't think it was possible to log in with the authenticator as single factor

Nah they just hit forgot password and you still get a prompt

Genius implementation

I've been wondering why my authenticator is constantly pinged. It happened almost the same time I swapped phones, so I thought I had some weird setting wrong.

This is why I went back to totp rather than notifications. Drove me nuts about a year or two ago. Support couldn't do anything then either.
