Well this is a car crash waiting to happen... Roku's technology HQ is based in my home City of Cambridge UK. This is a very liberal area compared to a lot of the UK, or at least the kind of people who work for tech companies are. I can't imagine too many people are going to stick around for long after this.

They realized they could stay a profitable company as a hardware company. Unfortunately, they would only continue to make money and not make more and more money. So they switched from a hardware company to a content company because line go up.

Very accurate, why only make boat money when we could make megataght money at the expense se of our customers and reputation?

I forget exactly what it was a few years ago, but there were signs that roku was going down the wrong path. Glad I never bought one now.

Shoving advertising everywhere. Anti features, playing your own copy of some media? They will pop up letting you know you could be watching it on their streaming service. Etc Etc etc
