They were ramping up against climate change protestors (before Covid mostly shut that down for them), and building up rhetoric against refugees. Certainly suppressing antigenocide protests is important to them, but I suspect (with no evidence, therefore complete confidence) that it's a long-term implementation of ecofascist lifeboat policy against the next few decades of climate refugees. Or perhaps the liberal scrabble for control organically produces a messy politics that is still in-line with actual long-term "conspiracy".

Part of that is Tony Blair's digital ID and currency stuff, since that'll enable some very unpleasant controls over individuals. I recall seeing some proposal suggesting using it for invisible sentencing to "reduce strain on our prison service, yadda yadda" - you're not actually in a physical cell, you're just automatically denied services and your money doesn't work in certain places.

the ruling class cannot conceive of such things anymore. the current generation drank the koolaid in big gulps long before they were handed the reins, and that goes both for the liberal fascist lanyard dorks and the fascist liberal manchild nihilists, they all believe their own propaganda. to starmer, it is mindboggling that anybody could object to the unstoppable, history ending march of liberal fascism and any opposition can only ever be a temporary roadbump that will be swept away like a minor corbyn, as nobody can refuse to comply once they have been shown the sterilizing light of eternal, soul-rending moderate technocracy.
