I read her Monk & Robot books and loved them. Was excited to jump back into her atmosphere of reading.

I’m only 60 pages in. I found it hard to get in (but with the exception of Snowcrash, I found that Stephenson writing doesn’t agree with me 😅) maybe it’s the summer and I don’t want to read.

Anyway it’s that or Diamond age

I really liked REAMDE but then I could never even get close to finishing the sequel. Loved Cryptonomicon but then tapped out of the Baroque cycle after the first book.

Definitely an acquired taste imho, clearly a super talented artist though.

I’ve only read Snow Crash and didn’t know it was atypical for him.
