I have not watched this and don't really know the culture around this. That being said, this is the shirt I'm wearing as I type this and is the only reason I'm responding.

Edit:

This is a shirt from the band Health. I did recognize it as Evangelion since I do watch anime, but I never got into Evangelion.

Here's the back of the shirt. I'm sure it makes more sense to all y'all, but it's just a reminder of a concert I went to for me, it was a great concert and I wanted to support the band.

Feel free to explain the context to me if there is any I should probably be aware of
