I like reframing things in a positive manner. I just wish more of our tax dollars actually did go to helping people

Thats exactly it. I don't think anyone should mind paying taxes and I think the lower taxes for a mythical economic return is voodoo economics. I would like to see a return on investment. Not to me in particular but to be part of a society where people can get help when they need it or better yet just get it so its not means tested and have nice public spaces and such.
what if we had ownership of our own governance? what if our government served us instead of our exploiters? it would be stupid for us to buy into statist mythology.
