Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.

On Wednesday 24 June, the Labour Party and Green Party simultaneously convened in Lambeth’s Agnes Riley Gardens, and Zack Polanski had something to say about it.

The battle was covered by Aaron Newbury of the Daily Express. Newbury was in the park to see Andy Burnham. When he got there, however, he was confronted by the following scenes:

Labour councillors told him that PM-in-waiting Andy Burnham was due to address activists in the park. The problem was that Green Party activists were also there, waiting for Zack Polanski. In Newbury’s own words, the situation was “really quite strange”.

a Labour councillor accidentally sent the invite to several Tory Councillors by mistake.

It was then cancelled for security reasons.

This morning we were told it was cancelled due to a schedule clash.

Then I was told it was actually cancelled because it was too hot.

Wow.
