A place for your favorite video game songs, OSTs, and remixes for games of all eras. Also, deep dives into their creation and composition.

Would appreciate composer names in either the title or the post, for recognition of their hard work.

Was listening to this during work today. I haven't actually played this game, just listened to the soundtrack many times. I've played the original Dreamcast game, but not the Xbox sequel. I hear Xbox emulators work well these days, though, so I'll have to check it out.

edit: Oh, the gameplay footage in the video I linked to is from an emulator. So it's definitely playable.

I love this game and it's soundtrack.

Playing it on an Emulator that can upscale it to 4k is awesome.

Also, be sure to check out JSRF's spiritual successor Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (currently on 50% sale) and it's soundtrack.

I've had it on my wish list since it came out, I think this will be the sale that I finally pick it up. (This is going to break my three year long "no Steam purchases" streak...)

Came here to mention bomb rush cyber funk. Apparently they got the same composer from jet set radio to do the soundtrack

I played the shit out of JSRF on Xbox. I remember before the game even released listening obsessively to Fly Like A Butterfly on my Rio One mp3 player that I found on some shit like napster or audiogalaxy or kazaa, after I heard that BANGER of a track in a launch trailer.

Definitely worth trying to emulate! I think I got it to work a year or two ago, prolly still have the iso and bios files somewhere.

But I also highly recommend checking out Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a much more recent spiritual successor. It's a dogdamn masterpiece and Hideki Naganuma has a few tracks in it too!

Small world, I was also listening to it on my way to my side gig!

Xbox emulation is much better than it was but there's still only a small percentage of the library that's perfectly playable.

Luckily JSRF is one of the few lucky titles that works without issue.
