“These politicians will represent the will of the people instead of their own beliefs, including the part where the people get bored and move on to the next shiny thing.”

Call me crazy, but isn’t this like the best-case scenario for a politician? Accurately representing the electorate?

agree, is so annoying that Mamdani ended up a Zionist supporting Israel.

I revoke your /s until he stops telling people that they're antisemitic for protesting Zionists auctioning off land. I don't know what it is about doing this with slightly less geographic proximity that eludes the notice of you people.

Moreover, rent control without dealing with homelessness, poverty, & immigration etc, overpolicing especially, this does nothing but stabilize the accession of labor aristocrats to the asset market in the long run. Just because US homeownership is dropping doesn't mean it isn't the primary motivator for them

These candidates aren't accepting AIPAC money which is the closest litmus test to not being a slave of the Epstein class.

They may be corrupted once in power but they're starting from a baseline that isn't genuflecting before a genocidal neoliberal cabal of Ziofascist paedophiles

[–] thatsnomayo@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 hour ago

No that really isn't AIPAC is just one of the many institutions the US uses to discipline its politicians & I have yet to see an explanation for why AIPAC-unfunded politicians continue to support liberal zionism from tgesr people

This is some pretty weak psyop. But even if it weren't, it's pretty fucking obvious that politicians will adopt positions in order to get votes. That's like one of the ways you get elected.

That's why we as voters need to do more than show up on election day. After all, we are electing politicians, not saints.

[–] woodenghost@hexbear.net 4 points 2 hours ago

Yeah, you'd have to be a saint to actually be against genocide. Perfectly natural to just lie for the fascists. /s

Even a very selfish, evil person would not normally support genocide. These people are on another level, an incredibly low one.

Hey mayo you seem to post like a human but your profile has the bot flag checked. Is this intentional?

Mhm I have a stalled automation project where my bookmarks in Firefox get synced with communities on here, as well as a few posts per day from valuable rss feeds. I am kind of hung up on some stuff like better markdown tool & an offline-online buffer thing so when I log a bunch of shit I want to post offline it posts them slowly over the course of the next dsy. Idk I added a lot of computer projects but I'm gonna prioritize RSSHub (which is good at scraping) etc next. Gonna have a Nitter instance putting all of the state media & foreign embassy websites & twitter accounts into their respective communities. Once I get that set up I will continue to make aggravating manual posts. For some reason doing this has made people stop accusing me of being an LLM. Reverse psychology.

After that I'm gonna set up something similar to the Mastodon Delta Chat bot (if at all possible) that combines all inboxes into a CLI program that you can reply back to, similar to putting all your accounts' RSS feeds in one folder.

Also it keeps me from accidentally voting on the same thing multiple times. Or downvoting people, which is reddit behavior. You should shred people with replies alone. Is that too much information. Multiple accounts is mainly so when I search by account I don't have to sort through all of the idiot posts I make which are now compartmentalized

I'm never explaining this again btw

[–] Transform2942@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 hours ago

Haha that does make sense. Less accusations of botting with the flag set is hilarious. If you don't feel like explaining again you might want to put something in your bio. Or just be mysterious and mock anyone who asks, ya know either way

Да, верно.

Don't trust anyone who posts on twitter in 2026

[–] postman@literature.cafe 1 points 3 hours ago

I believe Obama and Taylor Swift are still on it? There needs to be a name-and-shame list of people who should know better.

[–] thatsnomayo@lemmy.ml 1 points 7 hours ago

[–] alekwithak@lemmy.world -2 points 6 hours ago

Okay, Boris.
