We've got some older neighbors that have lived in this neighborhood for the past 30 years or so and they like to have a gathering at their place for everyone at least once a year.
It's kind of nice because you get to know the people around you just enough to be familiar but not enough to hate all their opinions on everything.
Anyway a couple years ago she invited the local cops and firefighters too so we could meet all of them. The firefighters were pretty cool.. hilarious dudes, crackin jokes left and right, just overall good guys.
The cops marched around like they owned the place. The chief came and barged into a conversation I was having with the firefighters and decided to tell a story about how he just got back from training in Israel and how awesome that country is.
Absolutely disgusting. I still see that motherfucker around from time to time too, usually doing about 60 mph down our 25 mph street.
