rule #1: be kind
i think everyone is too scared of the regime to act. and even those who are not dont want to do anything because if you act alone, you will just be targeted alone and achieve nothing.
So what is needed is safety in numbers, people getting together.
Also one thing that even individual can do is help create image that others are actively doing stuff.Like, seeing graffittis that call for action creates image that at least one or more people are feeling confident enough to mildly break the law for the cause. At least that is how i would see it. I'm not sure if peacefully protesting helps or harms at this point.
Most people are motivated to take climate action when they themselves are burning up to death. I'd love for my cynicism to be proven wrong.

That tracks. We had so many great starts with the infrastructure act of 2022, but it all took forever to start working. I can see the MAGAts point that we spent a lot of money with nothing yet to show for it. Of course I have that patience to have let it succeed rather than cancelling after spending money but before seeing results
Reading this is not going to be good for my faith in humanity, is it. Let's see...
- make them think everyone else is doing it
- bribe them
- get their cult leader to tell them to do it
- persuade them that it's good for "the economy"
With these techniques in mind, you may be able to persuade people to take bold actions such as sharing a video, initiating a conversation, or signing up for a newsletter.
Nothing will. If it did we'd have done it already.
DANIEL KAHNEMAN is not hopeful. “I am very sorry,” he told me, “but I am deeply pessimistic. I really see no path to success on climate change.”
