It always throws me off to read how recent Salvador Dali was. For some reason, he's always seemed framed in the 19th century to me. Knowing that he was able to pop out Bed, Chair and Bedside Table Ferociously Attacking a Cello and go see Return of the Jedi that night is so strange. I should have this knowledge internalized by now but it's never stuck.
Same with Picasso for me.
