Hello new Lemmy friends!
Word on the street tells us our community is regularly making it the all page. While this is very cool news to hear, we can see how the sudden emergence of our posts in your feed might feel jarring and probably raises some questions. And also how, without knowing the backstory, our community might appear less than virtuous, so here’s a very brief introduction which hopefully will clear a few things up.
The woman we’re discussing is a body positive influencer and media personality who has gained fame and wealth by lying, manipulating, exploiting her children for content, plagiarizing BIPOC creators and blaming her BIPOC content editor for it (thereby ruining her career), among other things. Her fraudulent behavior is no different (I’d argue worse) from the likes of Jay Shetty (google him if you don’t know who he is or what he did). She’s the latest in a long line of grifting influencers who are abusing their power, taking advantage of their position and exploiting their followers. The difference is that she’s Canadian. Our laws around social media and advertising aren’t as clear (and where they are she’s disobeyed them), add to that, our mainstream media has protected her from those who’ve tried to expose her grift and silenced/intimidated anyone who’s tried to speak out.
Our Reddit sub was taken down due to reports of copyright infringement, which is unfounded and categorically untrue as no one ever tried to steal her work and pass it off as their own. The mods have made an appeal. While at first glance it may seem like we’re just “shitting on her” the sub has been more devoted to investigation and posting proof of her lies than just bitching for the sake of bitching. The reality is that she’s hurt, manipulated and let down a lot of people. She stole intellectual property and employment, caused mental distress and has repeatedly told lies to boost engagement and profit off her audience, so people are understandably upset that their voices are being silenced.
We’re grateful to have been welcomed so kindly by so many of you, and to those sticking around to watch the drama unfold, we’re glad to have you!

Hey, Bird-Brain, you are the media now. Remember? That's how you wanted it. You and your Shine cronies took almost all the ad dollars in Canada; local newspapers, broadcast and radio are almost all gone. If you watched the news, you'd know this. In 2024 and 2025, over 60 local media outlets closed due to lost ad revenue. Because of influencers like you shilling on TV shows, networks now charge guests to be on. Those guests might have talked about this situation.
Here's an idea. How about YOU get some eyes on this? How about you, the communication corporation (cause that's what you are) with a total of 3.5 million + followers on all platforms... How about you get your H-shaped ass off the sofa, pack up your production equipment and go produce a story about this situation and run it on all your platforms?
AND NO, you won't be paid for this. You can learn to live a little like media people, on-air people, and reporters who barely get by and are often NOT PAID for stories. GO SARAH, GO do it. GET SOME EYES on this. #lazy.
AND FFS don't make the story about you. Don't even appear on camera. Don't show your pussy, your hard nips or your filtered face. JUST REPORT. You're a writer, aren't you?

Remember when she was going to start a charity to send adults with a terminal diagnosis to Disney but she didn’t want to pony up her own money and the poor woman died without ever getting to go on the trip? 🐦 never spoke of it again. She doesn’t want to do any real, hard work. She doesn’t want to use her own funds to help anyone but herself.
Good reminder. Her lies all together on one list would be very long! She really is a looser - I wish everyone could move slower so they could she her for who she is. She’s only still around because most woman are digesting her in rare moments. But when you zoom in you can’t not see it.

Jesus Christ, how much botox is in that forehead? The woman has 3 inches of real estate below those brows, so she either has so much botox her eyebrows are being tugged to the top of her skull or she's using a bizarre filter, because she does NOT, unequivocally DOES NOT have that kind of space from brow to eye. Idk if I’ve ever seen someone look so haggard in the morning for like no reason. I lost 3 hours of sleep last night bc my toddler didn’t wanna sleep but I didn’t even look that bad.
90's supermodel. Images from a reel the makeup artists of ICONIC magazine* posted. Supermodel? Sure, some 1990's supermodels had bad skin, but they didn't claim to filter or Photoshop their faces. The kicker here is all of these images still have a filter on them. I noticed the filter increasing as the makeup artist applied more makeup. There were more glitches. I've realized they are all fakes and frauds. Living a lie with The Birds Papaya. *- There has been no confirmation that Iconic is a real magazine. I'm trying to get their subscriber count; the current estimate is 12. Enjoy the images. Sarah looks NOTHING like what she posts on social media. HER SKIN is shocking. The jawline soft. Like most women her age.

excellent pics and commentary, as always!! i really believe sarah reads here. i think that “natural, no make up” (but still heavily filtered) video she posted of herself barking at her child this morning was a direct response to the images you posted here. her self-obsession and pathological need to try to control how others see her is scary. so is the way she treats her youngest child. there is SO much discourse right now about the damaging and dangerous impacts of using your child for content. it’s unacceptable for her to continue using that poor kid like this.
I think you are correct on all accounts. She can't accept that she's a liar or wrong. I feel bad for the kid. She can't process her own negative emotions, so she probably takes them all out on this kid.

If there was ever a day when Instagram eliminates the ability to filter photos these woman would be livid. I’m sure they would just edit in other ways but it’s currently too easy for people like Birdshit to blur themselves away.
Most woman in their 40s will struggle with blemishes on their skin…I suddenly can’t have sugar - I enjoy a piece of cake and I get a breakout! That’s real. Birdshit will blur her already pumped and frozen face and then point out one cute little pimple in a “vulnerable” post. She never shows the skin we see here.
She also looks aged, probably because we never see her real face…if that makes sense, like she’s doing too much? Honestly, if I saw this shoot in isolation and didn’t know who Birdshit was I think I’d place her in her late 40s, early 50s with ALOT of work done and fighting too hard to hold onto their youth.

She's never ever been alone. Ever. She said her first husband was a rebound from a guy that broke up with her, (but also wonder if she was cheating then too seems to be a pattern with her. She's proven to be the type that gets a thrill from hooking up with someone who is in a relationship- which checks out considering her obsession with body checking, filters, lies, extreme insecurity) then she was with Shame (he was in committed living together relationship) before her first marriage ended (always has the next one set up first) then was with C while still w Shame while filming Traitors (C was also married)
She literally hates herself so much she can’t be alone with herself. Also, it checks out bc she has no personality. She takes on the personality of whoever she's with or whatever/whomever benefits her.
