The TSA goon is an overlooked, frightening part of this. TSA has a perception of authority in these airports and he's actively facilitating the abduction of someone by two plainclothes thugs and pretending anyone from intervening.

So they are secret police now what is that German word for that again, oh yeah Gestapo.

[–] DeadDigger@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Gestapo is not a word but a name. The German word would be Geheimpolizei, Arschloch or Nazi

[–] OtakuAllTheWay@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Gestapo is just an abbreviation for Geheime StaatsPolizei so it just means secret state police.

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Damn, DeadDigger got told. Damn. Oooh. Snap. Shit, son. Damn.

There is no justification possible for doing that and then walking away. They know their actions are wrong and they about to get the shit kicked out of them.

[–] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 24 points 3 days ago

If I read the article correctly, he was arrested the next day?

Would be much easier for them to do their job if they were actually trained and uniformed. The bar is low and they can't even hit it.

"Why can't we have some people from Norway, Sweden, or Denmark? We always take people from Somalia, places that are filthy, dirty, and disgusting"

[–] jumjummy@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Gee, is it because with these wackos “white = right?” No, that can’t be it at all.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 81 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Hey TSA guy. You back the fuck up. Stay in your lane.

[–] mursejoy@lemmy.zip 46 points 3 days ago

Yeah talk about a bootlicker. This is the equivalent of a Walmart greeter telling me to back up from a situation like this.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 101 points 3 days ago (7 children)

Ice agents? Unless identified as law enforcement they're just some assholes beating up an innocent man.

I'd start beating the shit out of them then claim in court there was no way for me to know who they were.

[–] jdf038@mander.xyz 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah some weird hooded guy with questionable facial hair push down an older gentleman.

Charges ought to be pressed

[–] CultLeader4Hire@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That blonde person was also assaulting the man as well.

[–] jdf038@mander.xyz 3 points 2 days ago

Good point

I shouldn't give them a pass for no awful beard but you are correct

[–] mrpollo@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yeah. In these videos I’ve never seen a woman work for ICE.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 54 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I've got bad news for you about American courts.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 40 points 3 days ago (5 children)

People keep saying, "Why aren't the courts doing anything about ICE?"

They are.

Federal courts have ruled thousands of times that ICE unlawfully detained people. Reuters reported that judges have found ICE illegally jailed individuals more than 4,400 times. There are also multiple active lawsuits alleging excessive force, denial of medical care, abusive detention conditions, and unconstitutional arrests.

The problem isn't that the courts aren't ruling against ICE. The problem is that many of these rulings apply to individual cases or specific jurisdictions rather than creating nationwide policy. Critics argue that ICE has continued many of the same practices despite repeated adverse court decisions.

Those are two very different issues. One is whether the judiciary is checking ICE's conduct. The other is whether ICE is consistently changing its behavior in response to those rulings.

So the US justice system is utterly toothless and ineffective and may as well essentially not exist.

I'm so confused. If they were legally detaining him, why are they in secret hoodies hiding their faces and running away

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 106 points 3 days ago

You're not confused. If what they were doing was legal they wouldn't have to hide their faces like a bunch of pussy-ass bitches

[–] NotEasyBeingGreen@slrpnk.net 21 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I think the idea comes from central and south American police who hide the identities of their police to prevent retaliation from organized crime, who are often very well funded and have no qualms about torturing and murdering random people to ensure the law remains powerless to stop their reign of fear and terror.

However, in this case it is to prevent the police themselves from answering to the courts, and to hide themselves from public scrutiny. Even if you are not breaking the law, America's legal system is brutal and destructive, and they know that and don't want to face it themselves.

Oh how I fantasize about seeing that guy's head shot off.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I have, quite involuntarily, for the past year, having flashes before my eyes of a bomb going off right in the middle of Trump and his lapdogs holding a press conference.

To the NSA/CIA/FBI: no need, I'm already on the list

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Is that how those neo-Nazi sacks of shit dress for work?

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 159 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Fuck the airport guy too. He's complicit.

[–] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 30 points 3 days ago

Yeah they made him look like the worlds biggest simp as he's still trying to block the people recording without realizing that these two "agents" have already booked it out of there right behind his back.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 38 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Man in fake moustache steals a shoe after seeing hes being filmed.

Is this confirmed as ICE or have the common thugs latched onto it by now? Its only a matter of time.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Yeah how the fuck is this allowed? Masked people disappearing people off the streets? There should be way more stink about how they hide behind masks, that itself is so blatantly anti-democratic.

It also has a significant psychological effect on the "agents" in that they feel they can't be held responsible and it also internally dehumanizes them because they are no longer [person] but [anonymous agent].

We saw what this leads to in the banana republic regimes that the US/CIA installed all over the world in the 60s, it always ended the same way, brutal repression and extrajudicial killings.

[–] unknown@piefed.social 51 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The ice guy is also wearing a fake mustache that's peeling off. Hopfully he's been identified by now and the neighbourhood he lives in knows he's part of the gestapo.

[–] modus@lemmy.world 23 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Yeah wtf was that? And why not just grow a real one and shave it off before going back to your parents' basement? Or is his testosterone so low, Hegseth won't let him kill brown people?

Another day, another attempt by secret police to disappear whomever they wish with no oversight.

[–] zergtoshi@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (27 children)

Imagine they were treated as the thugs they are...

Can I see your ID and warrant please?
You don't wanna show?
Then get off that person!
You don't?
Here's your kick to the face then!

edit: remember to cover your face and head like those thugs do before you kick their faces. Make sure they can't come after you, so don't hold back.
While you'd be right to defend an attacked person, you wouldn't want to end up in this joke of "justice system".
