I don't need 3D but I need splines, parametric dimensions, spline a = spline b, dim1= dim2*dim3/dim4, spline tangent to a at this point and b at this point, etc. I have too many dimensions that need parametric dimensioning to name all of them and have a spreadsheet (freeCAD uses spreadsheet). Trying Fusion, but I'd prefer cheaper and available to use for business because I would like to make drawings for business use (soliworks has a cheap version but cannot be used for business use).

Open to πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ but soliworks requires key AFAIK

If it's a side gig thing you can get a SolidWorks Maker license. $48/year for full SolidWorks, you just can't make more than $2k per year using it. Looks like it's 50% off right now too.

Edit: just realized that is probably what you were talking about when you mentioned the cheap SolidWorks Version. It's very Monday today, sorry.

Have you used OnShape?

It’s free, sort of.

Having all my work published doesn't make for a great business if everything is free and publicly available

Librecad was recommended to me for 2d. Maybe something to look at

That didn't have parametric stuff I'm looking at, like fully dimensioning splines and other features based on other features

LibreCAD is ok for light 2D work, but last time I used it it couldn't do parametric drafting.
