I guess I am having a difficult time understanding the fuck up. Like, shack up the olds together so they can be independent longer. Plus, if they move in together, holiday visits require travel to just one place instead of two or worse, having to choose which family to see for which holiday.

If I remember that video correctly her explanation of tifu was that she became a [~~half-sister~~]step-sister to her husband
so just her optics changed. In the end being more of a brag post from matchmakers standpoint

Half-sister means they share one biological parent. This makes her his step-sister. Significantly different.

What are you doing, step husband?

[–] DampCanary@lemmy.world 2 points 57 minutes ago

Thanks, yea you're correct

I wonder if the OP refers to their spouse as stepbro/stepsis now (I totally would, jokingly, and in front of said parents)

Oh I got one better. My stepfather's father married his ex-wives mom making his ex-wife his sister. What a shit show during the holidays!

And no not backwoods BS we come from big money, its was a nightmare.

I had no skin in the game so I watched from the sidelines w/ popcorn...

Big money is no defence against "backwoods BS". Ask the Hapsburgs about that.

Their parents didn't meet before they got married?
