Basically I want to create another account so that I can start a few communities, since lemmy.one doesn't allow for community creation. But after filling out the sign up details it never loads or completes

Signups on lemmy.world worked as late as a few hours ago at least. Try again in a bit?

Check the spam filter in your email for a validation link. Registration just spun for me until I found that

You could try kbin. It has an easier path to entry and being in the fediverse still able to access the same content. I do not intend to start a fediverse war here though.
