Why can't people just put the marijuanas in their trick-or-treat bags? I always was told I would get free drugs when I was a kid, but it never happened.

I knew it! Parents "checking" the candy are just taking the good stuff for themselves.
I wonder how hard it'd be to recreate that look with actual sugar based candy, melted down to form and colored appropriately. Be fun to give those out and when questioned by parents, stuff one in my mouth and make eye contact for an uncomfortable amount of time.
