On your homepage, is there an easy way to see the comments of a post without jumping into the post itself?

Alternatively is there any thought on making an click to a link breakout into a new tab instead of using the current page?

i'v got the same issue you have on both of my computers. on the other one i have a mouse and have to hit the middle button to open a link in a new tab, but this thing is a 2-in-1 touchscreen tablet PC and involves pressing my fat fingers onto the screen, potentially missing and fucking everything up, and then if i get the right spot i gotta hold my hand still for a few seconds so that the thing realises that i want to right-click, and then i can hit the appropriate command.

rather annoying.

Using the COMMENTS instead of POSTS view at the top of the list would do it, but it would be for all of them and not just for the one you want. :-(

Normally if I want to see comments I open that post in another tab and read it there.

see comments without opening post

I'd like to have both, too!
