I don't think it's to scale, it's mostly representative and mainly mocking the idea of a "middle class"
The middle class in this picture would actually be $640,000 based on the number of pixels. And some billionaires have over 100 times as much as the big rectangle.
I can't comprehend what it's like to have 30k, either.
